About

Mental health is rarely included in conversations about diabetes management. Yet, everyone managing diabetes is impacted by it. Reframe Diabetes aims to remove the false idea that diabetes is only a physical condition by supporting the psychological, emotional and social impacts of living with the condition. We provide services and resources that aim to improve healthy diabetes management, overall wellness and self-care.

About US

Our Story

Reframe Diabetes co-owner, Sara Adams, LCSW-R, was diagnosed with Type 1 while living in New York City in 2016, three weeks after her 32nd birthday. After diagnosis, she quickly identified two major gaps in the world of diabetes management: the limited resources available for managing the mental health components of diabetes, and the need for more support of adult-onset Type 1s. She created Reframe Diabetes as a way to help fill that gap.
